ABOUT KEVIN RIDER JR.
Kevin is a strategic communications and creative design professional with six years of sports and tech PR experience across leagues, teams, and agency environments. He currently contributes to the NBA’s communications and storytelling efforts as a Storyline Creation & Game Night Monitor, where he supports real-time communications, media coordination, and narrative development around teams, players, and league initiatives. Alongside that, he previously served as Senior PR Manager for Angel City Football Club, where he led media relations, matchday communications, broadcast coordination, and strategic storytelling around one of the most culturally relevant clubs in global soccer.
Kevin's background also includes agency communications experience at KCSA Strategic Communications, where he worked across sports, media, and technology clients on proactive media relations, strategic communications planning, and crisis support.
Kevin served as the Assistant Sports Media Relations Manager for Loyola Marymount University Athletics department, leading as the Sports Information Director for six sports, including Women's Basketball, Men's & Women's Tennis, Beach Volleyball, Indoor Volleyball, and Softball. He also has worked for many gameday communications teams such as the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), Los Angeles Chargers, and the Los Angeles Clippers gameday marketing team.
What’s really shaped Kevin's approach is operating in fast-paced sports environments where you have to balance strategy, storytelling, relationship management, and rapid execution all at once. He's versatile, he's vibrant, he's a team player!
